A Boudoir Christmas Story

Intro by Jill:

With it starting to look a lot like Christmas. . . what better way to warm your heart than a sweet boudoir Christmas story?! After the photos are taken, your favorite photos are picked out and an album is created, we very rarely get to find out how the story ends! We are so thrilled that one of our clients shared her story with us - why she decided to take these photos and how she presented them to her, now, husband. Check out her story below and if you’re interested, it’s not too late to book your Christmas Boudoir Session! Check out our 2019 Christmas Sale for more information.

Her Christmas Boudoir Gift Story:

So, my husband and I have been together (off and on) since we were 18 years old. We are currently 38 and were just married in September. We began dating while in high school and dated for a couple of years. We then went our own ways and reconnected about 7 years later. At that time Mike had relocated to the DC area.

Long story short - I made the move to DC in '08 and Mike and I lived together for 7 years. During that time Mike and I had grown apart due to some outstanding personal and health issues I was having, etc. We split amicably that Christmas. I moved 5 minutes away with the dogs we shared and we maintained our close friendship while living separate lives and sharing the dogs.

In July of 2017, I was offered a position here in Rochester and it required moving back up here within two weeks. When I told Mike this was happening he told me he wanted to make things work with us, but was not ready to move at that time. He still had work to finish on our home before selling it and other loose ends to tie up. I moved anyways and we decided we would see what happened.

Mike and I saw each other for the first couple of months here and there. Then, once he was in the middle of the house flip, our visits became less and less frequent. We went 7 months without seeing each other!!! In December of 2018, Mike finally finished the house, sold it, and relocated up here, all within a month's time. We were engaged within a week and moving into our new home.

Between the long-distance relationship and the fact that I was finally feeling proud of my body, etc. I decided to go out of my comfort zone and have an album made for Mike. I wrapped the gift up and also purchased a sexy body ribbon to wrap on myself for the reveal. Kinda cheesy, but both having the boudoir photos done and the body bow were SO far out of my comfort zone that I thought I might as well run with it.

We are now married and loving life. Mike loves his album and I love having the album to remind myself that I am more powerful than I realize and sexier than I ever imagined I could be (with the help of some very uncomfortable poses!! ;-)
