Welcome to Boudoir Studio 6201

Thank you so very much for booking with Boudoir Studio 6201. We are extremely excited to share a sexy, creative adventure with you! Each of our clients possesses a unique beauty that we love to discover, cultivate, and capture on camera.

From our years of experience photographing Boudoir, we’ve learned that beauty is anything but skin deep; it’s an attitude, a strength, a dark secret within you. Our job is not to depict an artificial version of you, but instead to bring into the light that special beautiful something which makes you one in a million. We greatly look forward to working with you.

Boudoir Studio 6201 has been taking boudoir portraits since 2010. It’s one of our favorite forms of photography - producing provocative, evocative imagery of beautiful women just like you.

In this guide

The purpose of this guide is to help you prepare for your boudoir photography experience with us. In it, we will cover:

  • what to expect

  • what to remember

  • what to do

  • what to bring

Let's take a few moments to work through the pages ahead in order to get the most out of your boudoir photography experience with Boudoir Studio 6201.

What to expect

What to expect

What to expect

Your Arrival

When you arrive at your session, after the initial introductions, we will go over all your outfits and accessories. We will help you finalize what outfits you should wear and what accessories you ought to pair them with.

Once we’ve determined the outfits, it’s time to get pampered. Our wonderful hair and makeup stylist will take over and get you dolled up for your shoot. This process can take about an hour to an hour an half.

You can add on one of our amazing hair and make up talents for an additional cost of $75 for hair, $75 for make up or $125 for both. That fee is payable directly to the stylist at the day of the shoot. It is preferred by them to be paid in cash.

Your photographer

Asif is the photographer and he will coach you every step of the way and guide you through the most flattering poses to create beautiful images. Each scene consists of 30 minutes of photography in 1 outfit with a slight variation. So, for example, if you are doing a 3 scene session with hair and make up services you should plan on being at the studio for 3 and 1/2 hours to 4 hours. This factors in a little time for changing and some chit-chat.

Your session

Your session is all about YOU! We want you to have a great time and feel at ease during the whole experience, so in order to make sure that you are comfortable and pampered, we offer the option to have a personal assistant present at your session for a nominal fee.

She will be there to help you with posing, hair placement, thigh highs and garter clips, keeping your necklace in the right place, and any other things you may need/want help with during the session.

Our Luxury Experience includes a personal assistant, but you can add her services to a 1 or 2 scene session for just $20 and to a 3 or 4 scene session for just $30.

A fair warning :)

Whoever said beauty is pain was on to something. It is absolutely true of boudoir photography since it's kind of like yoga, pilates and twister all combined in one. You will be sore the next day.

Your "photo-shop" appointment

We will have you back at our studio 1 week after your photography session to view your gorgeous images and pick out your favorites. This is when you will have the opportunity to purchase any additional products you’d like: prints, wall-art, a custom USB of digital images, luxury albums or little black books.

It depends how you envision the final product but most of our clients end up adding on an 8x12 little black book or upgrading to a custom usb drive of additional digital images.

What to remember

Remember to take care of these things before your boudoir session

What to remember

Remember to take care of these things before your boudoir session

Things to remember

  • Arrive within a 5-minute window of your scheduled time. If you come half hour early we might not be there to welcome you in. :(

  • Come with your face washed, your hair washed and dried with no products in it, so our stylist can get started right away.

  • if you're doing your own hair and make up then please remember to do your make up a shade stronger than what you're normally comfortable with

  • Get plenty of rest and drink lots of water in the days leading up to your session.  Well rested and hydrated skin looks the best in photographs.

  • Make sure body hair is well groomed and legs are shaved.

  • Have a manicure and pedicure done a day or two before the session. Fingernails and toenails  will show in many of the shots and you don’t want to have chipped nail polish showing.

  • If  possible wear loose clothing the day of the session and, if you can, avoid wearing a bra to ensure that unsightly marks or dents are not on your skin for the session.

  • Lastly, avoid tanning the day before or spray tanning the day of the session.

What to do

We have a little home work for you to do before coming to your shoot

What to do

We have a little home work for you to do before coming to your shoot

What to do

We have a little homework for you to do before the session.

Let's face it, a boudoir photography session is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for most ladies. If this is the case for you, we want you to get the most out of your session and have it be one of the most exciting and rewarding experiences for you.

A few personal questions for you - about your body

Here are a few personal questions for you to help you visualize the outcome of your boudoir experience with us. So grab a pen and a piece of paper to jot down the answers to these questions.

  • What do you consider to be your most attractive physical features? (For example: your hair, smile, eyes, your back, legs, etc.)
  • If you're doing this as a gift for your significant other, what does he/she consider to be your most attractive physical features? (What does he/she naturally gravitate towards or compliment you on the most? :)
  • Are there any physical areas that you are self-conscious about that you would like for us to minimize or work around? (For example: a scar, stretch marks, limitations due to a surgery, etc.)

Now that we’ve determined the ‘stars’ of the show, so to speak, let's figure out your level of comfort and stylistic taste.

Our style of photography

We have split our style of photography into 4 distinct segments. This is to compliment our ultimate boudoir luxury experience that comes with 4 different outfit options and 4 different looks/sets. So if you wanted to have images created of you from each segment of our style you could easily do so by either going with our 4 scene session or the luxury boudoir experience.

Comfort level 1-3 - Makes the viewer think of your beauty
Outfit suggestions - Oversized sweater, boyshorts, knee-high socks, his sports jersey, nighty and a robe, pretty dress, a ball gown, etc.

Comfort level 4-7 - Makes the viewer think of your body
Outfit suggestions - corset, garter belt and thigh highs, bodysuit, teddy, bra & pantie sets, etc.

Comfort level 8-10 - Makes the viewer think of sex (in a tasteful and classy way)
Outfit suggestions - statement jewelry, heels, sheer scarves, go topless, bottomless or au natural, pair it with sheets in bed, etc.

Nude Art

Comfort level 10 - Makes the viewer think of anonymous art
Outfit suggestions - your God-given birthday suite

  • What is your comfort level?  (How much or how little do you want to expose in the photographs?)
  • What is your preferred taste? (Beautiful, Confident, Sexy or Nude art)

The last part of your homework

Along with the answers to the questions above, please send us the following before your session:

  • A  selfie for our MUA
  • Snapshot of your outfits
