Thank You

Thank you for booking your session with the Boudoir Studio!

Welcome to THE Boudoir Studio

Thank you so very much for booking your session with The Boudoir Studio. We are extremely excited to share a sexy, creative adventure with you! Each of our clients possesses a unique beauty that we love to discover, cultivate, and capture on camera.

From our years of experience photographing boudoir, we’ve learned that beauty is anything but skin deep; it’s an attitude, a strength, a dark secret within you. Our job is not to depict an artificial version of you, but instead to bring into the light that special beautiful something which makes you one in a million. We greatly look forward to working with you.

The Boudoir Studio has been taking boudoir portraits since 2010. It’s one of our favorite forms of photography - producing provocative, evocative imagery of beautiful women just like you.

What to bring

Let's take a few moments to work through the pages ahead in order to get the most out of your boudoir photography experience with The Boudoir Studio.

What to expect

What to expect

What to expect

Your Arrival

When you arrive at your session, after the initial introductions, we will go over all your outfits and accessories. We will help you finalize what outfits you should wear and what accessories you ought to pair them with.

Once we’ve determined the outfits, it’s time to get pampered. Our wonderful hair and makeup stylist will take over and get you dolled up for your shoot. This process can take about an hour to an hour an half.

You can add on one of our amazing hair and make up talents for an additional cost of $75 for hair, $75 for make up or $125 for both. That fee is payable directly to the stylist at the day of the shoot. It is preferred by them to be paid in cash.

Your photographer

By now you know who your photographer is - either Asif or Andrea. He/she will coach you every step of the way and guide you through the most flattering poses to create beautiful images. Each outfit consists of about 30 minutes of photography. So, for example, if you are doing a 2 scene session with hair and make up services you should plan on being at the studio for 2 - 2.5 hours. This factors in a little time for changing and some chit-chat.

Your session

Your session is all about YOU! We want you to have a great time and feel at ease during the whole experience, but we need to give you a fair warning :)

Whoever said beauty is pain was on to something. It is absolutely true of boudoir photography since it's kind of like yoga, pilates and twister all combined in one. You will be sore the next day.

Your "photo-shop" appointment

We will have you back at our studio 1-2 week(s) after your session to view your gorgeous images and pick out your favorites. This is when you will have the opportunity to purchase any additional products. Wall art starts at $245. Little Black Books start at $395. LUX Albums start at $795. You can also add on additional digital images or gifts prints if you choose. They are sold in increments of 5.

On average our clients opt for an album and a wall art collection of 3-5 of their favorite images.

* If you needed to schedule another appointment to view your images again in the future we do charge a non-refundable fee of $50 per subsequent ‘photo-shop’ appointments.

What to remember

Remember to take care of these things before your boudoir session

What to remember

Remember to take care of these things before your boudoir session

Things to remember

  • Arrive within a 5-minute window of your scheduled time. If you come half hour early we might not be there to welcome you in. :(

  • Come with your face washed, your hair washed and dried with no products in it, so our stylist can get started right away.

  • if you're doing your own hair and make up then please remember to do your make up a shade stronger than what you're normally comfortable with.

  • Get plenty of rest and drink lots of water in the days leading up to your session.  Well rested and hydrated skin looks the best in photographs.

  • Make sure body hair is well groomed and legs are shaved.

  • Have a manicure and pedicure done a day or two before the session. Fingernails and toenails  will show in many of the shots and you don’t want to have chipped nail polish showing.

  • If  possible wear loose clothing the day of the session and, if you can, avoid wearing a bra to ensure that unsightly marks or dents are not on your skin for the session.

  • Lastly, avoid tanning the day before or spray tanning the day of the session.

What to do

We have a little home work for you to do before coming to your shoot

What to do

We have a little home work for you to do before coming to your shoot

What to do

We have a little homework for you to do before your shoot:

Please take the time to work through this “homework” at your earliest convenience and submit it back to us. This homework is extremely important because your answers will help us create the best possible experience for you as well as the best images as a result.

The first section explains the questions to help you better understand exactly what we are looking for in your answers. The second section is an interactive form that you can simply fill out and then click submit to send it over to us.

questions about your body

The goal behind asking these questions is to figure out what you love about your body and what you might possibly be self-conscious about. That way we can feature the aspects you love and are proud of while minimizing or concealing the aspects of your body that you’re concerned about. When considering the answers about what you love about your body, think of what your bestie might say and if you are doing this as a gift for your significant other, then what he/she might say.

Here are the questions:

  • What do you consider to be your most attractive physical features? (For example: your hair, smile, eyes, your back, legs, etc.)

  • If you're doing this as a gift for your significant other, what does he/she consider to be your most attractive physical features? (What does he/she naturally gravitate towards or compliment you on the most? :)

  • Are there any physical areas that you are self-conscious about that you would like for us to minimize or work around? (For example: a scar, stretch marks, limitations due to a surgery, etc.)

questions about your comfort zone

When thinking of your comfort zone think in terms of skin. How little or how much you are willing to show.

It is WHAT you are planning on showing. To help you have a better understand we’ve kind of broken it into four segments.

Everything is covered. For outfits think of a negligee, a silky robe, even a pretty dress.

All the essentials are covered still. For outfits think of lingerie, corsets, bodysuits, bra & pantie sets, etc. Also, think of implied nudity where a sheet is placed strategically suggesting but not completely showing anything.

Here you can choose to be either topless or bottomless or both. For outfits think of just sheets, just panties or just heels and nothing else or a statement jewelry piece to go along with it.

Nude Art

As you can see, it is pretty self-explanatory. However, it doesn’t necessarily mean you have to show your essentials. Think of anonymous art created with just the lines and curves of your body.

questions about your taste

When thinking of taste consider how you would like to be posed in these images. In the section about comfort zone you decided what you’re going to show. In the taste segment you’ll consider HOW you’re going to show it.

To help you understand this better, imagine a scale of 1-10. Where 1 is really conservative while 10 is really provocative. There is a huge difference between how much skin you show and how provocative your pose is. You can be completely naked and still be conservative in terms of posing or you can be completely covered and be completely provocative in your pose.

We’ve broken the “1-10” scale into three segments to help you decide where you’d like to be.

Taste level 1-3

Makes the viewer think of your beauty.

Taste level 4-7

Makes the viewer think of your body.

Taste level 8-10

Makes the viewer think of sex (in a classy and tasteful way)
