Should you lose weight before your boudoir session?

The most common reason that women delay their boudoir session is because of their weight. . .

Girl, listen. . . we get it.

Maybe you feel compelled to finally lose that baby weight or lose those stubborn 10 lbs that accumulated from the mandated quarantine. We completely understand that you want to look your absolute best for your boudoir session!! So we asked our photographers, Asif and Andrea, what they would recommend if a client is considering losing some weight prior to their boudoir session.

Here is their answer:

IT DEPENDS

I know that's not what you were expecting. . . but hear me out.

We are in the business of body positivity, not body shaming. It is not our right to judge you and tell you “Oh, you don’t need to lose weight, you look fine!” At the end of the day, how comfortable YOU feel in YOUR skin will absolutely be apparent in your photos.

If you feel like you need to lose weight, book your session 3-6 months out so you have a goal you can strive for. Are you voluptuous and proud of it? Please don’t feel like you need to lose a single pound to be photographed. We want every client who walks through our door to feel 100% safe, and free from any kind of judgments. Our photographers are highly trained to coach you into flattering poses, no matter what your weight or body type is, and draw out your authentic expressions to create jaw-dropping portraits.
